Ingredients for Mutton Biryani :

Oil- 7tsp
Curd- 2tsp
Onion- 4 medium size onion
Tomato- 5-6 medium size
Cardamom- 1
Clove- 1
Cinnamon- 1 small piece
Mutton- 1/2 kg
India Gate basmati rice – 1/2 kg
Coriander leaves
Mint leaves
Redchilli powder
Salt- required amount

Ingredients to be grinded:
Shallots- 20
Garlice- 10 pieces
Ginger- small piece

Cook Mutton Separately

  • Wash mutton and put into a cooker and add water(for cooking mutton separately), 1 spoon redchilli powder, salt- one small spoon and leave 12 whistle if suppose mutton is too hard(check and leave extra Whistle if still mutton is not cooked
  • Don’t waste mutton cooked water, I included this mutton water for measurements Water measurement for 1/2 kg basmati rice.. Just wash the rice softly for two times and drain it ( this time I didn’t soak rice into the water). 1 cup rice = 2 cup water. so I measured 2 cup and 1/4 of extra rice. Totally I added 4 & 1/2 cup of water
  • Take a cooker put onion, cardamom, clove, cinnamon and then add oil. Fry until onion comes golden color, then add grinded paste and cook till raw smell goes.then add tomato, curd, mint leaves, coriander leaves and cook for few minutes.
  • Add chilli powder and salt. Put cooked mutton and saute for few minutes then add water (above given water measurements) let them boil and add rice, mix it gently… Check salt and spicy, then close the cooker leave only 1 whistle. *Mutton Biryani Ready to Serve!
