34 members of the cabinet
The oath-taking ceremony will be held on Friday and the current CM designate will take charge along with his 34 members of the cabinet. The ceremony is scheduled to be held in the Raj Bhavan, with a close ceremony due to the COVID crisis.
The government will be functioning under the leadership of MK Stalin and 34 other departments have been bestowed to different members of the DMK. Also, as promised earlier, Stalin has took control of the home department such as Home, Police, IAS, IPS and General Administration.
The new cabinet is quite intuitive and notable as there is a mix of both veterans and new faces in the list along with two women candidates. The new cabinet has been a totally positive combo of experience with new and fresher ideas.
Udhayanithi Stalin not given any power of administration
On the other hand, MK Stalin’s son Udhayanithi Stalin who won the Chepauk area on a large margin has not been given any charge under the cabinet. He’s currently continuing his post as secretary of the DMK’s young wing.
