Yoga remains to be the ray of hope as the world fights against the COVID; Modi addresses in his speech on the International Yoga day

The international Yoga day is commemorated on June 21st every year world wide. While addressing the nation on behalf of the auspicious day, Prime minister Narendra Modi said that Yoga as the ray of Hope in the country and the world to fight against COVID.

7th National Yoga Day programme

In his speech about the merits of Yoga in the 7th National Yoga Day programme, PM Narendra Modi also said, that the nation will join hands with WHO to launch the M-Yoga application, which will possess videos of yoga training based on Common Yoga Protocol available in different global languages.

Modi added that, in spite of the absence of all public events globally for a year now, the love and dedication towards Yoga remains the same. And also, though over the course of time many forgot or ignored Yoga worldwide. But the rising interest nowadays shows how this art has influenced humanity.

Way from stress to strength and from negativity to creativity

He said that” When the unseen coronavirus knocked on the doors of the world, no country was prepared for it in terms of resources, capability and mental state. We all have seen that in such difficult times, yoga has become a great source of inner strength,” he said. Yoga shows us the way from stress to strength and from negativity to creativity”

A process of Healing

He also said that medical science has served humanity by ‘Curing’ whereas Yoga helps in the ‘Healing’ of every individual and many schools now begin their online classes with yogic exercises like pranayam which prepares children physically to deal with COVID mentally.
